Musk on its own, with nothing arranged around it.
It goes on soft and stays close — a warm, slightly powdery skin note that reads clean rather than sweet. There's no opening to wait through and no turn halfway; it smells the same in the fourth hour as the first, only quieter. It sits about an arm's length from you, not across a room.
Oil, not spirit, so it doesn't flash off. A little at the wrist or behind the ear is the whole application. It will pick up something of whoever is wearing it, which is the point of a musk.
